Wellness is being in good physical and mental health. Because mental health and physical health are linked, problems in one area can impact the other. At the same time, improving your physical health can also benefit your mental health, and vice versa. It is important to make healthy choices for both your physical and mental well-being.

The Clubhouse provides assistance, activities and opportunities designed to help members develop and maintain healthy lifestyles by focusing on the eight dimensions of wellness: physical, social, spiritual, occupational, intellectual, emotional, financial and environmental.

Based on the needs of the membership, we incorporate wellness opportunities within our day-to-day structure. These include after-lunch walks, structured workout groups, yoga, gardening, and lunch and learn sessions incorporating the eight dimensions of wellness.

Nutritious Meal Planning

Brighter House focuses on providing nutritious, balanced and affordable lunches Monday through Friday. The Clubhouse community is welcome to be involved in menu planning meetings where decisions are made based on the interests and nutritional health needs of our community.
